EfficientIP names new Northern Europe channels head

Network security and management vendor EfficientIP has appointed Gary Bootland (pictured) as its new channel manager for Northern Europe, as it launches channel partner programmes across its territories.

Bootland will be responsible for developing and executing a regional channel strategy. Bootland said: “It’s an increasingly threatening landscape organisations are operating in today. As customers undergo digital transformation to adapt, I see tremendous opportunity to grow the Northern European business through the channel.”

Bootland brings over 20 years of network technology and partner programme experience to the table, beginning his career with IBM’s youth apprentice scheme at just 16 years old. He later joined Symantec, gaining enterprise sales experience in all things cyber security.

He joins EfficientIP from Portnox where he was the first employee in a channel management role to work outside the company's US/Israeli territory.

Scott Breadmore, EfficientIP regional sales director, said: “The channel is a natural progression for EfficientIP and I welcome Gary as he helps us accelerate our channel sales. Gained through years of experience, his in-depth knowledge and expertise in channel strategy will help us build and strengthen our long-term, fruitful business partner relationships.”

US-headquartered EfficientIP says it has enhanced its Smart Partner Program by simplifying the onboarding process and enhancing training for sales and technical teams. Along with its own solutions the vendor offers complementary technologies from Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, RedHat and ServiceNow.
