Cerebo chooses Alkira to simplify cloud networking

Cloud networking company Alkira has chosen MSP Cerebo as a reseller for the Benelux and Nordic regions.

Cerebo is a telco-independent service provider, delivering fully managed SD-WAN and SASE services to international enterprises. Following the firm's sale last year,  Ferran Van den Berg, founder and managing director, went in search of a solution to tackle the issue of cloud networking.

Alkira said its CNaaS offering was the only solution that met Cerebo’s criteria, providing radical simplification of cloud networking, secure, multi-cloud connectivity, and as-a-service consumption.

“Ferran and his team built one of the first companies in Europe to provide managed SD-WAN services,” said  Paul Couturier (pictured), senior vice president international at Alkira. “We’re delighted to provide the foundational technology for their next-generation MSP.”

The firm enhanced the service in April with the addition of Cloud Insights, a free tool that it says enables clients to enhance the performance, connectivity and security of resources in AWS and Azure environments.

“Cloud Insights is a great addition to the Alkira service because it enables customers and prospects to get a better understanding of their current cloud usage,” added Van den Berg. Cloud Insights shows them where they can optimise performance, plug security gaps and make cost savings by decommissioning underutilised resources.”

Cerebo said it believes that mid-sized multinationals will be the sweet spot in the market for its service.

“We’re talking about companies with between 20 and 200 locations,” Van den Berg continued. “These businesses are struggling to find people who understand the complexities of cloud environments.”
