Arrow signs Broadcom's Symantec for Europe

Distributor Arrow Electronics has a deal with Broadcom to be the first commercial aggregator for its Symantec Enterprise Security business in several European regions. The agreement includes coverage for Benelux, DACH, France, Iberia, Italy, Nordics and UK&I. Arrow’s collaboration with Symantec goes back nearly 20 years and Symantec Endpoint Security and Symantec Email Security Service are available exclusively through ArrowSphere in EMEA, Arrow’s multi-tier cloud marketplace.

The agreement encompasses the support and channel go-to-market strategies for Symantec’s portfolio of security solutions, following the acquisition of Symantec by Broadcom at the end of 2019.  Under the agreement, Arrow will provide customer technical support directly for Broadcom’s commercial enterprise clients and support the channel by generating opportunities, driving renewals, and facilitating enablement with its partner community.

“Arrow is well placed to serve a large customer base with security solutions and value-added services within Broadcom’s global cyber security aggregator programme, based on our proven track record with Symantec for many years,” said Alexis Brabant (pictured), vice president sales of Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions business in EMEA. “Broadcom is fully committed to the channel, and we are pleased to expand our collaboration with this well-established vendor who serves the industry with a wide range of solutions, and to play a key role in their global network. The commercial aggregator agreement further enriches our solutions offering to our channel customers, helping them to protect their end user’s infrastructures.”

“No business is immune to the ongoing challenges of protecting against the ever-increasing threat landscape, as well as ensuring their regulatory compliance. We are delighted to secure this agreement with Arrow, as we know that our customers are in safe, expert hands, based on Arrow’s long-standing collaboration with Symantec,” said Apay Obang-Oyway, director of EMEA channel and alliances at Broadcom.
