Czech specialist expands in Ukraine

Czech IT company Unicorn has opened a new office in the Ukraine with more than 60 IT specialists

Czech IT company Unicorn has opened a new office in the Ukraine with more than 60 IT specialists. Unicorn was established in Ukraine in 2011, when it won its first contract – a project for a bank UkrSybBank. Other projects followed in the power industry sector, where the team provides solutions both to the EU customers, as well as to local customers.

It grew strongly last year when the Ukraine branch started to provide ICT services to Western European customers in a form of nearshoring, with the largest customer Oriflame, a cosmetics company that uses Unicorn for maintenance and development of its selling, logistics, and payment system.

Jan Konrád, International Services Director, says: "I am very happy with the recent increase of Unicorn activities in Ukraine. This is the result of excellent cooperation of our teams in Ukraine, in the Czech Republic, and in the Netherlands. Opening of our new representation in Kiev is a logical outcome of this success and a prerequisite for fulfilling our developmental goals in the next few years.”
