SAP services specialist expands into Benelux with acquisition

Austrian SAP services specialist CNT Management Consulting has expanded into the Benelux region with a new office, and has acquired Hasselt, Belgium-based consulting firm Advisum to make it happen.

CNT Belgium's Hasselt office will be headed by Kurt Huysmans, founder of Advisum and Michael Tschernko. Over the next five years, the site is expected to grow from ten to 30 consultants.

The new operation will focus on life sciences – like pharmaceuticals and biotechnology - but will also aim to gain a foothold in other industrial areas, said the firm. The sales focus is on S/4HANA, Ariba and SuccessFactors.

Tschernko (right in picture) said the new “Corda Campus” site offers not only modern infrastructure with a startup character, but also “high potential” for attracting “well-trained young talent” with experience of SAP projects.

CNT, which until now focused on the Austria and Germany markets, says it has a multilingual team with English, German, French and Flemish at their disposal, with them capable of working across the whole border region.

Tschernko joined CNT in 2011 after project management engagements with Anton Paar, Andritz and SAP, and since then has been involved in numerous international projects. Most recently, he helped establish the company's Mainz office. Huysmans (left in picture) started his career at Robert Bosch and then built up his own business after working for SAP. His focus is on project and programme management as well as supply chain and manufacturing consulting.

“We have immense potential here with products and services for the impending digitalisation wave," said Tschernko. "It's important to be close to the customers, to speak their language and to have access to the large pool of talented consultants in the area.”

CNT Management Consulting AG was founded in Vienna in 1999 and currently supports companies in all areas of SAP integration, with 250 consultants in Vienna, Innsbruck, Linz, Munich and Mainz, as well as in Bolzano, Italy. The company says it generated over €51m in sales in 2018.
