Ping Identity brings in SAP chief to lead EMEA charge

Ping Identity has appointed Emma Maslen as its vice president and general manager for EMEA and APAC as it expands its channel reach in those regions. Maslen brings over 20 years of senior leadership experience working for the likes of Sun Microsystems, BMC Software and in her most recent role as managing director of SAP Concur.

The Ping Intelligent Identity platform provides customers, workforces and partners with secure access to cloud, mobile, SaaS and on-premise applications across the hybrid enterprise.

“Emma brings a wealth of experience in driving business growth and a demonstrated ability to bring the best out of people,” said Dave Packer, senior vice president of field operations at Ping Identity. “Her expertise will be vital in helping Ping Identity advance our position amongst our enterprise customers and key alliance partners across Europe and APAC as we continue our international expansion.”

“Managing identity is one of the biggest societal challenges of the next decade,” said Maslen. “Ping is ready to grow rapidly to meet this need and key to that success is attracting the best talent in the industry and building the right culture to deliver on our vision.

“I’m looking forward to helping Ping achieve these goals and working closely with our channel and technology partners to deliver on our next phase of international growth.”

This July, Westcon secured an EMEA distribution agreement with Ping Identity, adding the vendor to its growing Next Generation Solutions (NGS) portfolio.

The Ping Intelligent Identity platform provides a suite of identity services including multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, access security, directory, data governance and intelligent API cyber security.

Maslen is also on the advisory boards of ImproveWell, a digital employee engagement platform for healthcare; Phoenix51, a talent life-cycle platform; and Maiden Voyage, a champion for female and LGBTQ traveller safety.
