Orange Cyberdefense has acquired ensec, a Swiss cybersecurity services firm based in Zurich, to reinforce its existing presence in Switzerland.
With over 100 cybersecurity experts in the country, Orange already works with customers from both the public and private sectors, ranging from SMBs to large multinationals in collaboration with Orange Business.
The acquisition brings value in terms of expertise and customer proximity in the Germanic regions of Switzerland. ensec has around 40 experts and a customer portfolio of over 130, operating in sensitive fields such as finance, retail, and energy, as well as those in the public sector.
Hugues Foulon, CEO of Orange Cyberdefense, said: “The acquisition marks a significant milestone in our European development, enabling us to better serve our customers with comprehensive, high-impact cybersecurity solutions. This move not only strengthens our market position among Germanic customers in Switzerland, but also underscores our commitment to build a safer digital society for our clients and partners.”
The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed. Earlier this year, Orange Cyberdefense announced the appointment of Ajay Bhardwaj as UK managing director. Bhardwaj is tasked with increasing Orange Cyberdefense's market share in the UK, “diversifying its customer portfolio”, and “maintaining service excellence”, said the firm.
