NinjaOne completes Dropsuite acquisition for $270m

Endpoint security firm NinjaOne has completed its acquisition of app security and backup player Dropsuite for around $270m.

With the addition of Dropsuite, first announced this January, NinjaOne customers can unify endpoint, server, and SaaS application backups.

NinjaOne now offers a backup suite that provides protection across endpoints, servers, M365, and Google Workspace, as well as real-time email archiving.

“This acquisition is a major step forward in how we help customers improve business productivity, protect their data, and build resilience,” said Sal Sferlazza, CEO of NinjaOne.

“Together with NinjaOne, we’re even better suited to make our customers successful with one integrated console that automates endpoint and SaaS application backup,” added Charif El-Ansari, CEO at Dropsuite.

This February, NinjaOne secured $500m in Series C extensions, at a $5 billion valuation, with a chunk of this cash financing the Dropsuite capture. The venture funding came in separate tranches that were led by ICONIQ Growth and CapitalG, Alphabet’s [Google’s parent] independent investment fund, with participation from other private investors.
