Logitech reports booming audio, slow home control peripherals sales

Insight into differently performing sectors; tablet accessories dropping fast

Switzerland-based Logitech, maker of peripherals, has reported its latest quarter to the US SEC, reporting rising sales, particularly in audio and wearables. Total sales rose from $594,567 to $666,707 year on year, with retail sales of Mobile Speakers up 25%, Audio-PC & Wearables sales up 17%, Gaming retail sales up 38%, while home control shifted up just 5%.

Retail sales of Tablet & Other Accessories decreased 31% respectively, in the three months ended December 31, 2016 , compared to the same periods of the prior fiscal year. The sales reflect the declining market for iPad shipments, partially offset by the new product introduction of the Create Tablet Keyboard Case for the iPad Pro launched in September of fiscal year 2016.
