German Kobil Systems has entered into a six-year partnership with Turkish associate bank Kurveyt Turk to jointly develop new products, services and IT solutions for the financial sectors.

Through joint research and development centre both companies hope to bring new security technology to the markets in Europe and the Gulf States.
Kuveyt Turk set up the first R&D centre in the financial sector in Turkey in 2010. Under the new partnership, the products and services jointly developed by Kuveyt Turk and Kobil will be presented to other financial companies.

Also, Kuveyt Turk will integrate mobile-ID-platform into its IT infrastructure and will activate it as a cloud service in its R&D centre to execute the banking activities in Turkey and the Gulf States, it says. Additionally, both companies will work on the cloud service security project and will use Kobil’s channel to sell products in Europe.

m-Identity platform helps protect IT infrastructure against theft, piracy and manipulation and at the same time it offers the secure communication between customers and a bank, it says.

Kuveyt has been Kobil’s customer since 2008.
