Huawei outsources UK services contract

Huawei has chosen Teleperformance to manage its UK customer services and technical support through a Teleperformance Bristol, Avon-located contact centre. As part of the deal, Teleperformance has gone live with more than 60 contact centre agents in Bristol supporting Huawei customers across telephone and webchat channels.

Zhe Liu, vice president at Huawei, said: “Teleperformance is a perfect choice of partner as it is an organisation that aligns with our goals to create value for customers and to help build a more prosperous, more productive and more connected future for the UK.

“I have no doubt our partnership will continue to grow as we develop further our already strong focus on customers and businesses.”

Gary Slade, chief executive officer of Teleperformance UK and South Africa, said: “The relationship will continue to grow, adding additional products and services in the future and we are proud to be working in partnership with Huawei.”

Huawei is steadily increasing its presence in both the business services and consumer products markets in the UK and currently employs 1,500 people in the UK. Last year it pledged a further £3bn investment in the UK market in a five year commitment. It has 15 offices in the UK, including its head office in Green Park, Reading. It also has two joint innovation centres in the UK, one in Ipswich with BT, and one in Newbury with Vodafone.
