French cybersecurity specialist targets Switzerland

Almond, an independent French specialist in cybersecurity auditing and consulting as well as Cloud and Infrastructure is opening an office in Switzerland. With existing offices in Paris, Nantes and Strasbourg this marks Almond's first stage of its international plan.

Olivier Pantaléo (pictured), CEO of Almond says: "Despite the health crisis and the complicated economic climate we are going through, we have pursued our development goal. Several arguments convinced us to choose Switzerland and especially Geneva to open our first office internationally. Switzerland is an economically dynamic country with several assets such as its legal framework, political stability, a high value-added corporate web, a high level of privacy protection and the availability of highly qualified engineers. All these strengths, coupled with a growing demand for cybersecurity, convinced us to choose Switzerland for our first international location."

"Our ambition is to quickly become a key player in Cybersecurity in Switzerland. To do this we have recruited Guillaume Masclez, a recognized expert in the world of IT, who has been working in Switzerland for many years and three cybersecurity experts who will join us in the second quarter of 2021. In addition, we will still recruit many experts in the coming months."

"Thus, we will soon have the ability to offer our clients a multidisciplinary team on all the cybersecurity professions (which are the strengths of Almond in France today): ethical hackers, SOC analysts, engineers specialized in network and systems security, security architects."

By the end of 2021, he aims to have a portfolio of about 20 client companies (SMEs, mid-market and large accounts) and a workforce of 6 to 9 people. Almond already has several clients in Switzerland. By supporting local companies in their cybersecurity issues and then on digital transformation (accelerated by the health crisis) and the urbanization of IS, Almond intends to quickly become a major player in the IT council in an area covering the cantons of Geneva, Neuchâtel and Vaud, he says.
