Exertis expands business in France with Azeen acquisition

Exertis has purchased French structured cabling firm, Azenn.

UK distributor Exertis has completed its acquisition of Azenn Holding Développement (Azeen) a French distributor of structured cabling and network devices. The deal, for an undisclosed amount, will ‘enhance and extend’ the services of Exertis Connect – the UK distributor’s existing commercial business in France.

“As a company that we have admired for a number of years, we are delighted to add Azenn to the Exertis family,” said Tim Griffin, managing director, DCC Technology, the parent company for Exertis.

“I look forward to working with the Azenn team to drive further growth in the business and add even more value to our customers and vendor partners,” he added.

Headquartered in Montauban de Bretagne, Brittany Azenn employs approximately 200 people across France, including a distribution centre in Lyon. In the last financial year it generated revenues of €60 million.

The firm also provides logistics, refurbishment and staging services for network devices to some of the largest Telecoms operators in France.

The cabling firm will continue to be led by current president, Phillippe Betherlot.

“This acquisition is a great opportunity for Azenn, our people and our customers,” said Betherlot.

“We’re really looking forward to being part of the ever-expanding DCC Technology business,” he added.

The Azenn deal is the latest in a string of European acquisitions by Exertis. Over the last two years it has purchased Amacom, Comm-Tec and Keren.

“Azenn is a great fit with our existing commercial business in France and will allow us to offer a broader range of network devices and cabling solutions to customers, both inside and outside the building,” explained Clive Fitzharris, managing director, Exertis International.

Exertis Connect, led by Eric Bousquet, will expand Azenn’s cabling and network device offerings to new customers.
