Deloitte & Touche boosts security capabilities with CloudQuest buyout

Deloitte has acquired CloudQuest for an undisclosed amount.

 

Deloitte has strengthened its Cyber Cloud offering with the acquisition of CloudQuest, a US-based cloud security posture management (CSPM) provider. The deal, for an disclosed amount, will boost’s the consulting firm’s capability to manage security workflows, reduce risk and improve data security.

"While the global pandemic slowed some things, it didn’t slow cloud migration or cloud reliance for the vast majority of organisations,” said Vikram Kunchala, Deloitte Risk & Financial Advisory Cyber Cloud leader and principal, Deloitte & Touche.

“As organisations work to build their security postures for cloud or hybrid-cloud environments, we’re expanding and diversifying our services and solutions portfolio to help our clients continuously monitor, prevent and remediate security threats,” he added.

The CloudQuest deal is Deloitte’s second cybersecurity acquisition in less than six months, having purchased Root9B (R9B) in January. R9B was a security training vendor with the vision of delivering military grade technology to the private sector.
