Tech Data has brought Andy Gass back from Europe to run the UK operation. He will become Managing Director UK and Ireland, after spending the past two years fulfilling the role of SVP, South and West Europe. He will continue to be a member of Tech Data’s European Executive Board reporting to Nestor Cano.
It follows several month's disruption across the company over accounts filing which was based on issues in the UK and elsewhere. Earlier this week Tech Data appointed a global ethics officer with subordinates in Europe to try to strengthen its standing.
At the same time, Peter Hubbard has been appointed Managing Director of Tech Data Mobile UK and Ireland, replacing Stephen Nolan who returns to his former role responsible for European mobile vendor relations.
