Managed 24/7 gets new G-Cloud 10 government deal

Managed 24/7 has been appointed to the ‘Crown Commercial Services’ new G-Cloud 10 procurement framework. The MSP was named Managed Service Solution of the Year in the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2018 earlier this year.

The G-Cloud 10 framework, which goes live on 2nd July, is a public sector digital marketplace for cloud product suppliers that will immediately supersede the previous G-Cloud 9 framework. It will run as a collaboration between the Government Digital Service and the Crown Commercial Service and is operated through the Digital Marketplace.

The framework aims to provide a more level playing field for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access public sector work. Since the start of G-Cloud, almost £3 billion has been spent through the framework, with 48% of that going to SMEs. It’s will also be of great benefit for government procurers as it will give them much easier, cost effective access to the most appropriate cloud products for their needs.

The framework has changed the way in which public sector organisations can purchase information and communications technology (ICT). As we’ll now be one of those service providers, public sector procurers will be to access Managed 24/7 services without the need to go through a full tender process – making the whole process of using our leading-edge technology much simpler.

Commenting on the news, Stephen Boardman, Managed 24/7 Commercial Director, said “We have almost 10 years of experience in delivering our 24x7x365 UK based IT Managed Services into the private sector and have won a lot of awards for what we do. It is therefore incredibly exciting to take this learning and apply it into public sector”.
