ChangeBASE AOK appoints first distributor

As part of its key strategy to develop its business in Europe, global specialist in automated application compatibility testing and remediation, ChangeBASE AOK has signed a partnership agreement with specialist in application migration tools, PDS, to distribute its portfolio in the Benelux.

Mainly working with large systems integrators and consultancies (such as Getronics in Benelux, SCC, Dimension Data, Accenture and a few others including a number of outsourcers in India), this is the first time ChangeBASE appoints a software distributor. "PDS has a large client base in Benelux and a lot of expertise around our technology, so they're going to be able to provide the technical support and help to end-users that want to buy and use our software as opposed to people who want to get a service from a systems integrator using our technology," Managing Director at ChangeBASE AOK, John Tate told IT Europa.

"To add ChangeBASE AOK into our portfolio of products and services was an easy decision to make. The unique features of AOK mean that we can enable private and public organisations migrate to Windows 7 in days as opposed to months. We're already seeing significant interest in the Benelux market for this solution," added Coert Bosker, Sales & Marketing Manager of PDS.

Tate is also seeing a huge amount of interest in Windows 7, same as the interest shown for Windows XP when it first came out, and suspects most of the corporates to make the same transition in the next two or three years. "We're getting queries from companies with a hundred staff or a quarter of a million. Obviously, the bigger they are, the more complex the transformation projects are and the more important becomes the use of our software which gets applications to work on Windows 7 or virtualisation platforms," he explained.

In terms of countries, the first Tate really saw engage with Windows 7 was Holland, and then the UK, as well as the United States, where he's seeing a huge uptake. "But I think everybody is caught up, and pretty well every corporate we're talking to now that is looking at Windows 7 is also looking at Citrix or Microsoft App-V or VMware in that technology, pretty well everybody is looking at that as well to see how the two can coexist."

"So it's a new venture for us and something we're planning to roll-out in other countries or other territories around the world over the coming year," he concluded.
