NCP looking for UK and Nordic partners
VPN specialist NCP Engineering is looking for partners in the UK and Scandinavia as part of the roll out of its enterprise solutions market.
The process is long-standing in its German market, and was launched last year in the US along with a new office in San Francisco. It is one of the two areas the company specialises in, the other being entry-level products.
"Instead of just having entry products being able to be downloaded and bought online, which happens every day, we're going to start marketing the enterprise solution which is a much larger solution and effort to install," explained Simon Ford, Director at NCP Engineering to IT Europa. "We've been marketing this in Germany several years. Recently we've decided its been successful in Germany, why not the rest of the world. We started with the US, now this year we are concentrating on UK and Scandinavia."
NCP will be looking for new partners in both regions although Ford admits there is no specific number in place for either region, with the need to cover the geographical area and partners with knowledge of the industry being the decisive issues. "We sell through partners, the channel is very important. The number depends on the number we find and the geographical area they are active in. Some might only cover a certain region. It might be five partners, it might be 12 partners. They need to know the security space; they would have to know VPN systems."
Ford is confident aiming for partners in both regions will not be a problem, and after the strongest year since the company founded in 1986, is feeling confident. "We're not a company with a thousand different products, so it's very easy to present our system and what it does. I don't see a problem looking for partners in both areas simultaneously."
