Data classification firm adds partner for Spain, Portugal

QinetiQ’s Data security company Boldon James, a provider of Data Classification and Secure Messaging solutions, has signed another European partner to work in its core vertical markets.

QinetiQ’s Data security company Boldon James, a provider of Data Classification and Secure Messaging solutions, has signed another European partner to work in its core vertical markets. Computer Aided Logistics & Security, distributes GRC and Information Security solutions in Spain and Portugal, will now have access to Boldon James’ Classifier product range.

Data classification allows users that create and handle data to assign a value to it, ensuring that a safety net is established to prevent sensitive data from being distributed in error whilst enforcing security policy and best practice across the organisation. The new partnership with CALS enables Boldon James to increase market awareness and take the Classifier data classification solution to customers in Spain and Portugal.

“During the past year alone there have been countless headlines about high-profile organisations losing data or inadvertently making sensitive information public,” said Rafael Rodríguez, CEO at CALS. “By adding the Boldon James Classifier product to our portfolio we hope to provide a solution to our customers that can help raise awareness of security policies and enhance their existing data loss prevention measures”.

“It’s vital that businesses of all sizes are aware of how simple it is to protect their data by implementing a user driven data classification tool and embracing the cultural change of employee empowerment that goes along with it,” said Paul Johnson, Sales Director EMEA at Boldon James. “Our partnership with CALS will help to drive that awareness into places we have not had access to before. This is another strategic partnership and shows our ongoing commitment to our channel strategy”.
