Azlan teams up with flash specialist

Azlan has partnered with a provider of flash memory solutions for data centres Violin Memory and both companies have put a distribution agreement for the UK in place. Also, they plan to recruit new partners, they say.

“Azlan is building specific specialism in high performance next generation server and storage solutions to embrace the ‘Big Data’ opportunity with resellers. This agreement with Violin Memory is strategically important to us and our partners. It gives them access to the most advanced flash memory arrays in the world today and enables them to offer solutions that will transform performance and availability of data for their customers” says Nigel Dunn, Azlan UK Director of Enterprise Servers, Storage and Networking.

Violin Memory provides scalable flash memory arrays that offer low latency and high bandwidth. They can be used to accelerate entire databases and deliver responses that are faster by conventional spinning disk technology, it says.
