Capita adds new boss

 Capita’s IT services business has announced the appointment of Mark Quartermaine as managing director. He will be responsible for the ICT services and solutions for 1,400 customers from the central and local government, financial services and insurance sectors.

Capita’s IT services are made up of five areas: infrastructure and cloud, networks and ISP, software applications and user experience, unified communications and contact centres and end user services.

Quartermaine has over 25 years of experience in ICT sector and he previously worked for IBM, Cable and Wireless, BT Global Services and, most recently, for Azzurri Communications where he held the CEO position.

“Mark has a strong heritage in ICT, and much like Capita’s vision, puts the needs of the customer first and sees technology as the enabler rather than the silver bullet” says executive director of IT and consulting at Capita, Mark Wyllie.
