Nimble adds offices in Europe
Data storage and backup solutions provider Nimble Storage has now added new offices in Amsterdam and in Hamburg which will cover directly Austria, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands and the company plans to open more offices in France and in Scandinavia, it says. However, its headquarter will be remained in the UK.
Following this, there are two new hires announced by the company. Arjen Koen will be responsible for the Benelux operations and Tim Berndt will supervise the DACH region.
Nimble will continue to build its two-tier channel programme across Europe and therefore there will be more mid-size, VARs with specialist storage and virtualisation expertise additions.
"We have seen rapid growth in the US and Europe will be no different. To put in place the kind of structure that will be able to support constant product demand growth we are now looking to include a distributor in our partner community to help our existing resellers develop and meet demand for our solutions" says EMEA sales director at Nimble, Phil Turner.
Nimble Storage came to Europe only a few months ago and at the beginning it decided to locate its European part of the business in the Benelux region. At that time, the company also kicked off its channel programme which assumed signing up to around 6-7 partners in each of the main European markets.
