Ingram Micro in new POS drive in Italy

The Italian subsidiary of Ingram Micro has opened its new data capture/POS division in Italy and appointed Andrea Negroni as its new Key Account manager and Angelo Brenna as Sales Specialist.

“We believe that this sector offers excellent growth potential. Our DC/POS team guarantees a strong knowledge of both the products and the vertical markets in which they are deployed” says Senior Director DC/POS EMEA, Ernesto Schmutter.

Ingram says it will also offer to its customers onsite visits and trainings in association with vendors. “In Italy we will start with five major vendor partners: Motorola, Intermec, Zebra, Datalogic and Datamax-O’Neil” he adds.

Ingram’s data capture products include barcode/RFID scanners, truck terminals, wireless infrastructure and mobile PC/hand-held terminals for field service, healthcare, warehouse and transport & logistics applications. POS products include touch screens, POS computers, receipt, label, kiosk and card printers, cash drawers, card readers and keyboards.

Currently the company has 15 dedicated sales offices across Europe and its DC/POS division runs operations in Germany, France, UK, Netherlands, Israel, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
