Node-4 creates channel director role

Pulls in Andrew Wilson from Virgin Media Business

UK Cloud and Data Centre and Communications specialist, Node4, has appointed Andrew Wilson to the newly created position of Director of Channel Sales.

Wilson, whose previous role was Head of Indirect Partners at Virgin Media Business, will be responsible for developing the channel for the company’s broad comprehensive service portfolio and will be looking for partners with the right strategic fit to help maximise the company’s short and long term growth.

During his tenure at Virgin Media Business, Wilson designed and launched a new route-to-market, bringing Virgin’s ultrafast broadband products to the channel for the first time. Prior to that, he was Head of Indirect at Daisy PLC, where he delivered sustained growth across a wide range of channel verticals. He also plans to verticalise Node4’s channel approach by ensuring that Node4’s Cloud, Colocation and Connectivity portfolio addresses the main pain points of the channel.

Andrew Wilson added: “I was attracted to Node4 by the quality of its leadership team and the strength of its end-to-end product portfolio. Very few organisations have such a complete offering and this, together with the fact that they have built their own infrastructure from the ground up, puts them in a league of their own. I’m really looking forward to applying my channel experience to Node4, with my primary goal being to ensure that they remain ahead of the curve and, of course, growing the revenue and profitability of their channel business.”
