NFON continues European expansion with Brexit commitment
Munich-headquartered cloud telephony provider NFON has expanded its UK operation and is also on a recruitment drive in the face of Brexit.
Hans Szymanski, chief executive officer of NFON AG, said: “Since we opened the NFON UK subsidiary in April 2013, the UK market has gone from strength to strength, and our support hasn’t wavered in light of the result of the Brexit referendum. This is a big investment in our UK division, which we have done because we believe in the UK team and the UK market.”
As well as expanding in the UK, NFON AG launched in Portugal this summer, recently opened a new capital office in Berlin and will launch in Italy this year too. Szymanski said: “By the end of this year, we will have increased the number of employees in the NFON group by 34%.”
NFON UK has relocated to larger offices as it seeks to enhance its foothold in the market. It has moved from its offices in Acton, London to larger ones in the capital at Uxbridge, adding an extra 1,000 square feet. “The move signals the company’s confidence in the UK and supports its long-term plan to become the leading provider of cloud telephony in the UK,” said Myles Leach, managing director at NFON UK.
NFON UK currently has around 100 channel partners, including the likes of Chess, Westcoast and Scansource. As part of the expansion drive Leach said NFON UK will be adding five new sales and support staff to its 30-strong team by the end of the year.
