German distributor sales hit €490m as imaging, SSDs boom

Germany IT distributor Siewert & Kau ends the 2013/2014 financial year with revenue up again.

Germany IT distributor Siewert & Kau ends the 2013/2014 financial year with revenue up again. The wholesaler increased its annual revenue of €450m in the previous year to almost €490m. The division into three business areas – distribution, logistics and services - and a focus on individual core product groups helped to bring about an increase in revenue, it says. The owner-operated company also attaches importance to sustainable, organic growth – a strategy that has paid off for the company.

Siewert & Kau also increased its staffing level in the last financial year and now has over 300 employees.

Imaging products in particular are booming at Siewert & Kau, it says. The sale of storage solutions, in particularly SSD flash memory drives, as well as the comprehensive portfolio of printers accounts for a large part of the company's growth. Siewert & Kau has also posted appreciable increases in the distribution of IT components, the wholesaler's original area of business.
