Fujitsu to announce further channel developments

Fujitsu has announced plans for its next phase of channel developments to its partners and will present a full list of enhancements during its event Fujitsu World Tour.

Fujitsu has announced plans for its next phase of channel developments to its partners and will present a full list of enhancements during its event Fujitsu World Tour.

However, right now the company has already revealed that the new improvements are aimed to target the education and health sectors in particular. Additionally, Fujitsu plans to recruit more SELECT Expert Partners and put an extra emphasis on enterprise server, storage and workstation businesses.

Also, the company wants to increase a headcount and hire more people for its Partner Centre to better handle partner enquiries and bids. At the same time, investment in channel partners will continue, it says.

As the company aims to expand presence and enter new market segments, it has recently hired a specialist with knowledge of educational ICT sector Ash Merchant as its new Head of Business Development for Education. In addition, it will offer the marketing, training and sales support activities.

And due to its planned boost of the SELECT Partners base, Fujitsu expects more opportunities for resellers as it says.

“We have a message to resellers who are disillusioned about the vendor support they get in any way – come and hear what Fujitsu has to say and what Fujitsu has to offer you. We believe that you’ll find our approach is a breath of fresh air in a market where messages have become increasingly stale and repetitive,” says Simon Worsfold, Channel Sales Director, Technology Products Group, Fujitsu UK & Ireland.

According to Fujitsu, its Channel Acceleration Programme has proven to be very successful over the last three years and has helped the company spot significant channel sale growth. Based on this experience, the new programme has been designed to attract new partners and give existing some fresh energy to help them reshape their datacentres and infrastructures, it says.
